Priti Bhardwaj

Priti has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Connecticut and is a licensed Professional Engineer specializing in Bridge Design & Structures. She brings 30 years of experience working in the public sector as a Project Manager and is currently overseeing Transportation Infrastructure projects nearing $400 million dollars. In addition to her project management skills, she also is an advocate for promoting the engineering field and speaks at High School STEM Programs and College TRAC programs. She also has presented her Transportation projects at WTS (Women Transportation Seminar), Ct. Chapter. She also serves as a Moderator for Public Hearings for Transportation Projects.

So how are aesthetics and engineering related? “As a professional woman in a male dominated industry, you always have to prove your worth by your brain, a commitment to hard work and being a team player,” Priti explains. “But as a woman, you are always judged by your appearance, your wardrobe style and the confident manner you carry yourself, right or wrong. I learned that very early in my career.
